Course Overview

The course is delivered over six practical days outlining the principles of play within small sided games and coaching practices. The course aims to educate candidates in the technical, tactical, physical and mental requirements of modern football, so that they may devise, organise, conduct and evaluate coaching sessions in the development of youth and senior players.

Coaches will be expected to deliver practical sessions on course and pass a formal assessment. Coaches will also be required to complete logbook tasks and session planners throughout the course.

Course Fee

Full Cost: £800.00

Discounted rate: £450.00

in order to obtain the discounted rate the candidate must meet one of the two following scenarios:

Scenario 1 - coaches must be coaching in Wales (Essential) as well as one of the following:

Accessed and passed the below qualification

Represented and Capped for Wales at U16,17,19,21,23 or Senior Level

Scenario 2 – covers those coaches who benefit Wales but coach/play outside Wales

Born in Wales, represented & capped for Wales at U16,17,19,21,23 or Senior Level

Youth & Senior Pathways

Each coaching pathway has been specifically designed to help coaches working within a particular field.

Youth Licence - The course is designed for coaches working with youth players focusing on the individual and unit development of players aged 5 – 21 within a technical, tactical, physical, mental and a social context.

Senior Licence - The course is designed for coaches working with senior players focusing on the development of the individual and unit within a technical, tactical, physical, mental and a social context. Coaches will be expected to deliver practical elements on course and pass a formal assessment at the end of the course.

Pre-Requisites

Coaching CV detailing your coaching and playing career to date.
Valid FAW C Certificate or equivalent
Valid First Aid qualification (FAW or HSE Recognised)
